Meet Denise, owner of Soothing Remedies and a HER-MINE Vendor Partner.
What are you most proud of?
- On a personal level, I am most proud of the people my sons have become. They are hardworking, caring, respectful and kind. They have genuine compassion for those in need and are always willing to help others. From a business perspective, I am most proud of is how much I have grown. There are so many components to running a business that are outside my comfort zone, and having to navigate them has increased my confidence. I also love that my business gives me the opportunity to support those in need in my community through the buy one give one program.
What does being a warrior woman mean to you?
- A warrior woman is someone who is able to overcome difficulty and still be able to hold her head up and say I did that! Without anyone seeing her sweat.

What would you like people to know about your
business?
- We use naturally derived and organic ingredients to manufacture our line of soaps and candles. All products are manufactured by hand in small batches to ensure quality and we never test on animals. We do our best to source our raw ingredients from local suppliers and as part of our commitment to our community, for each item sold, we donate a bar of soap to someone in need through our nonprofit partners.
